Changes

It's been a little over a year since Kelli and I launched Mom 4ce and in that time, we've gone through a lot of changes...

Sarge and I moved from TX to OK to help take care of my father in love.

Kelli found out she was expecting #5.

My father in love passed away.

Kelli and her family moved across the great state of TX.

And now Sarge is being released from active duty and starting school.

This change scares me the most.  See, I'm the type of person who likes to have everything laid out and know what's going to happen.  But I can't see how this change is going to affect us.  I know in the end the plan will produce a benefit for us, but it's the getting from point a to point b that I have no control over.

To help me through this, I'm adopting a new life verse(s).

Matthew 6:25, 34

"25: Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 34: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

I know things will still be challenging.  I know I will still get stressed about things I can't control.  But, I'm going to take one day at a time and focus on what's important =)

Change is Coming

When Lynette and I started this blog and Facebook page we had plans of doing virtual races, group exercise classes, and meal plans.  We saw it as a basic fitness blog with other outside activities.  However, first Lynette moved and then I found out I was pregnant and moving and life got hectic.  The blog stayed but the virtual races fizzled (mainly from lack of interest) and the group classes died (from crazy schedules) but the blog has remained.  We do offer meal plans that are customized to fit your needs and we still blog and will continue to do so as long as somebody out there is reading.
However, we are slowly becoming more than just a fitness blog.  Yes, we both love fitness but we want to encourage you more than just on your fitness goals.
Our desire is to encourage each and every one of you in your walk as a woman, wife, mother, and whatever other roles you have.
You might see some different posts from us in the upcoming months and we would love your feedback on them.  Honestly we value your feedback so that we can better meet your needs.
We have some exciting things on the horizon and hopefully you enjoy the changes.

Change Up Your Routine

I was talking with a friend the other day and she told me that she changed up her workouts depending on the season.  She runs in the Spring and Fall but in the Winter and Summer she goes to a kickboxing class.
At first I thought this was a little weird, then I stepped outside!

I live in Texas, it is literally ninety-five degrees outside.  Today when I went out for my run at six it was already in the mid eighties.  All of the sudden going inside for a kickboxing workout sounded nice.
Here's my problem though, I like to workout outside.
The other day I was running and saw some rabbits, last night I came across a Roadrunner and her baby.
Honestly, I enjoy nature.  However, I have to compensate for the weather.
Therefore, I have changed up my routine by getting up earlier or exercising later.
I am also running on more shaded trails.

I have also invested in a bigger water bottle.
What adjustments do you make without sacrificing the things you love in your workouts?
